The problem

In a small bedroom, a normal ottoman bed can't be opened

Measure it before buying anything: a front-opening ottoman bed needs almost a metre of clear space at the foot of the bed to lift the lid. In a child's room that almost never exists: opposite is the wardrobe, or the desk, or the door.

This opens from the long side. If the bed is against one wall and clear on the other side — which is how a child's bed is almost always positioned — it opens fully without moving anything.

That's the difference between storing your child's things under their bed or not being able to use that space at all.

What fits

28 cm high under the whole bed

Under a 90 × 190 bed there's more than a square metre and a half going to waste. With 28 cm of clear height, that's room for out-of-season clothes, toys not currently in use, school supplies and the winter duvet.

And it holds: the floor is 16 mm melamine finished on both sides, not a thin sheet. Boxes and books included.

The colour

It's made to the measurements of the room, not of a catalogue

Six woods — White, Ártico, Cambrian, Amazonas, Cherry and Wengé — and four fabrics for the top: White, Beige, Grey and Chocolate. That's 24 combinations. Each ottoman bed is made to order for the customer, with the finish they choose.
