El Titanium Tech is the tallest mattress in the Dupen range: 32 cm. And what makes it different isn't the height, but the fact that it's built as a mirror image: the top side and the bottom side have exactly the same materials, in the same order. It's a genuine double-sided mattress, not one that merely tolerates being turned over.

That has a practical benefit: you can turn it over twice a year and enjoy a fresh surface each time, instead of always sleeping on the same padding. It's the cheapest way there is to extend a mattress's life.

How it's made, layer by layer

Inside the mattress

This is how the Titanium Tech looks opened up, layer by layer. Notice that the top and bottom panels have exactly the same materials: that's why it can be turned over, and why both sides feel the same to sleep on.

The details you can't see

• Medium firmness. Neither rock-hard nor cloud-soft: the middle ground of the range. The springs provide support, and the graphene memory foam cradles you on top.
• Six embroidered horizontal handles for turning it over… but they only come on sizes wider than 120 cmOn an 80, 90 or 105, the mattress doesn't have them, because it's light and they're not needed.
• Padded sides, with reinforcement on the sides and corners, and a firmness-stabilising frame all around the perimeter.
• Breathable fabrics with anti-dust-mite treatment.
• 32 ±1 cm in height. It's a tall mattress: measure the clear height of your ottoman bed or slatted base before buying, especially if you have a headboard.
• Manufacturer's warranty of up to 5 years. It's worth knowing how it works: Dupen covers 2 full years and, from the third year onwards, the additional part is prorated at 33,3 % a year on the invoice amount. These are the manufacturer's official terms, and we'd rather you knew them before buying, not after.
• Spanish manufacturer. Dupen has been making mattresses in Spain since 1966. The Titanium Tech is made to order in the size you choose.

Is this the mattress you're looking for?

It's a good fit if you sleep with a partner and their movement wakes you up — that's what the pocket springs are for — if you want to be able to turn the mattress over and use both sides, or if you're after the tallest, best-finished pocket spring mattress Dupen makes.

It's not for you if you're after pure, deeply enveloping memory foam, if you prefer a clearly firm feel, or if your ottoman bed doesn't leave you room for 32 cm.

Titanium Tech or Memory Plus: what's the difference

These are Dupen's two best-selling mattresses, and people often compare them. In short: the Memory Plus is firm memory foam, at single-sided y 28 cm. El Titanium Tech es pocket springs medium firmness, at double-sided and 32 cm. If your partner's movement bothers you, go for pocket springs. If you want the mattress to hug you, go for memory foam.
